Speech Pathologist

Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Hons)

Laura completed her Bachelor of Speech Pathology with Honours at Flinders University at the end of 2002. Her Speech Pathology experience includes four years in country community health, followed by 14 years working across private practices in Sydney, Adelaide, Wagga Wagga, and the Hunter Valley.

Laura’s particular areas of interest include literacy, speech sound difficulties, early language, and problem-solving skills. She has completed professional development in many areas including literacy (Spalding and Talk4Writing), early language skills (Hanen It Takes Two To Talk and More Than Words), Key Word signing, emotional regulation (Zones of Regulation), play skills, and speech sound skills. Working with children of all ages, Laura is motivated to work alongside families to help children reach their potential and become better communicators.

Outside of work, Laura is a mum of two and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys food (both cooking and eating!), being musical, telling terrible jokes, gardening and spending time outdoors.
